Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg take Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo and Raphael back to their comic book roots – more Superbad than cowabunga, with a sketchy animation style. The plot is your classic “turtles emerge from sewer” schtick, with unknown teen actors playing the pizza-guzzling heroes in a half shell. America being what it is, Rogen has already been called an anti-white activist for casting Hannibal Buress, Jackie Chan, April O’Neil and Ice Cube to voice key characters.
