From Jon Favreau’s watchable branch of the Star Wars TV franchise, Ashoka – played by Rosario Dawson – is a Jedi knight from the Mandalorian series now starring in her own show. Dawson’s striking dual lightsaber-wielding warrior was, lore fans, Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice and is, Mando fans, in a story that runs alongside Pedro Pascal’s third season. She’s hunting an Imperial admiral, falling out with the Jedi council and training up her old apprentice played by The Greatest Showman’s Natasha Liu Bordizzo. Despite Dawson’s deftness, it’s quite lore heavy so more for the fanbase than newbies.
