OpenAI staff rebel

OpenAI staff rebel

Last Friday morning OpenAI was a perhaps the most envied company on the planet; a tech unicorn nearly 100 times over led by a pin-up of artificial intelligence courted by world leaders and confident he could walk the line between harnessing the power of superhuman computing and letting it destroy the world. As of last night, OpenAI was in corporate A&E. Its ex-CEO, Sam Altman, and ex-chairman, Greg Brockman, were gone, newly installed at Microsoft, and clear they were not coming back.
