Is this snooker’s LIV moment?

The world’s top snooker players are being approached to join a breakaway tour. World number two Judd Trump confirmed he’d been offered a place on the rival tour, but said he had declined it, preferring to stick with the “history” and “heritage” of the current World Snooker Tour (WST). When asked where the offer came from, Trump wouldn’t say, and it’s not known how much money is on the table, but money is swirling around the sport. Snooker is hugely popular in east Asia, and Saudi Arabia recently confirmed a three-year ambassador deal with its biggest star, Ronnie O’Sullivan. He has agreed to play every WST tournament held in Saudi Arabia and to visit the country on coaching trips. Would he join a breakaway tour? In a press conference, he said: “I’m here, best offer, come speak to me, you’ll find my contact details on Instagram.”
