Linda McMahon: Trump’s transition chief named in “Ring Boys” lawsuit alleging child sex abuse at WWE

Trump’s transition team is already getting calls from lobbyists.

Howard Lutnick, CEO of the Cantor Fitzgerald brokerage, has been tasked with headhunting hundreds of politically-palatable employees for the new administration and is a strong advocate for tariffs.

His partner in the transition team is Linda McMahon, former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment and a former Trump official.

In a bizarre twist McMahon was recently named in a lawsuit in Baltimore which accuses WWE of knowing about and failing to stop the sexual exploitation of young boys by a ringside announcer.

The suit alleges Melvin Phillips Jr. “lured and manipulated” 12 and 13-year-old boys with the promise of meeting wrestling stars. It further alleges that McMahon and her husband Vince knew about his behaviour.

They dispute the allegations and call them a “vindictive distortion of the truth”.
